Summary: US banks must reassess their approaches to the Hispanic market, especially in efforts to reach out to the unbanked Hispanic consumer. This article illustrates approaches by two banks to move beyond "outreach" to create a more welcoming approach. |
|

The Hispanic market, especially the unbanked or under-banked Hispanic consumer, have been a very difficult market for US banks to reach. Research has shown the Hispanic consumer is much more willing to come into the financial mainstream, but that banks have been unable to communicate their value proposition in a clear and persuasive manner. The examples of two banks in this article can provide a path for other banks to consider in their inclusion programs.
