    Alert - General conditions

    The banking news alert of Codex-Banking is an innovative service providing you with the latest entries of our database which are sent directly to your mailbox: you choose the branches that are of interest to you, as well as the language in which documents can be sent.

    This alert is a customised service bringing you the latest materials of Codex Banking fitting your criteria by weekly e-mail. You can subscribe to this service for the price of 126,50 euro VAT.

    The term of the subscription is one year following the online conclusion of the sales contract.

    You can subscribe to the banking news alert by following the various steps of the conclusion of the contract:
    1. Acceptance of the general sales conditions.
    2. Definition of your alert criteria.
    3. Your coordinates.
    4. Confirmation of the criteria and of your subscriber profile.
    5. Purchase of the alert and online payment if you so choose.

    General Contract Conditions of Codex-Banking.com

    The following provisions establish the general contract conditions aplicable to the sale of Codex-Banking services, which are offered at www.codex-banking.com.

    By clicking on the "I accept" button, you confirm the purchase of the service chosen by you and accept the general contract conditions.

    The company Codex Online S.A. hereinafter referred to as "the company", therefore invites you to read these conditions carefully, and underlines that the purchase of one of our services is imposible without acceptance of the general contract conditions.

    Paragraph 1 - Object

    The present general contract conditions determine the rights and obligations of the company and the customer applicable to the purchase of the services offered on the site www.Codex-Banking.com

    The general contract conditions contain all provisions aplicable to contractual relations between the company and the customers. Any provisions not contained in the present general contract conditions may not apply to any transactions effected on www.codex-banking.com

    The contract being formed electronically from a distance, the company hereby identifies itself to the customer:

    Paragraph 2 - Contractual Documents

    The contract between Codex Online S.A. and the customer is constituted by the present general contract conditions and, by decreasing legal value, the order form of the service concerned.

    Paragraph 3 - Applicable Law

    The parties agree that the law applicable to contracts between them shall be the law of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

    Paragraph 4 - Description of Services Offered

    The company describes to the customer the entirety of the charateristic elements of the services offered on its website. These services are offered online.

    The company invites customers to read these service descriptions carefully.

    Notwithstanding any possible future restrictions, the company does not geographically limit its offer of services.

    The offer is made for a determined period of time, the customer must be aware of the timespan during which the offer is made.

    Paragraph 5 - Engagement

    By clicking on the "I accept" button, the customer is bound irrevocably to the terms of the contract.

    Paragraph 6 - Price

    The prices are indicated in Euro.

    The prices quoted are subject to Value Added Tax where applicable, which is 15% of the prices quoted.

    The modification of the rate of VAT does not alter one of the charateristic contract elements.

    Paragraph 7 - Confirmation of Order

    To assert the statement of will of the customer, the company pledges to confirm every order.

    This confirmation contains the mention of the service ordered, its price, method of payment, and the description of the delivery of the service by e-mail where appropriate.

    Paragraph 8 - Proof
    The confirmations of orders are archived at the centre of the company and conserved there for the purpose of serving as proof of the nature and the date of the contracts.

    Paragraph 9 - Payment

    For each service offered for sale, the customer may cose between the folowing methods of payment:
    • instant payment by credit card
    • payment by bank transfer. In this case, reception of the payment constitutes the starting date for the subscription to the service purchased.
    The consumer asserts being entitled to use the method of payment chosen.

    In case of payment by credit card, the order of payment may be revoked should the credit card be used unlawfully in regard of the contract between the customer and the credit institution which issued the card.

    Paragraph 10 - Personal Data

    To ensure the effective handling of the order, the collected personal data of the customer are subject to electronic formatting, and the customer recognises having been informed about this.

    This information is occasionally made available to the partner companies and institutions of Codex-Online. The customer can refuse such communication of data by sending an e-mail to the following address:

    webmaster@codex-banking.com

    and indicating as subject of that e-mail "Confidentiality of personal data".

    The customer also has a right to access and edit the information which concerns them contained in the database of Codex-Online.

    Paragraph 11 - Technical Security

    The company uses means of cryptology in order to secure the transactions effected on its site. These means have been authorised in accordance with applicable legislation.

    Paragraph 12 - Competence of Courts

    Should disagreements between the company and the customer arise from the present contractual relationship, the parties pledge to seek an extrajudicial agreement before bringing the case to a court of law.

    The parties agree that any court litigation arising from their contractual relationship is of the competence of the courts of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg.
